  Minginui:

Now the place where most of us live.

It was built by State Forestry in 1948 as a model village, to support native milling and exotic replanting programmes.  Now it is administered by the Ngati Whare Iwi via an elected Village Council

This site will be used to record information and stories about our place. Find out more about the Whirinaki Rainforest

See also our Whirinaki Business site to find out more of what goes on in our village.

To find out more about some of the projects we are working on, see our Kaitiakitanga Program site
